When the vehicle is stopping, the electronic brake control module (EBCM) monitors for the brake pedal applied serial data message from the BCM, with the brake pressure increasing and the vehicle slowing down, or when the vehicle is accelerating, the brake pedal is not applied and brake pressure is not increasing. Conditions for Running the DTC Ignition ON. Conditions for Setting the DTC * The EBCM detects 4 accelerations from standstill to a vehicle speed greater 40 km/h (26 MPH) without any brake light switch signal changes. * The EBCM detects the vehicle speed is greater than 20 km/h (13 MPH), the brake pedal is applied for 360 s, and brake pressure is less than 15 bar (218 PSI).
