4. If all circuits test normal, test or replace the B27RR door handle switch-right rear exterior.



Component Testing



Rear Door Handle Switch



1. Ignition OFF, disconnect the harness connector at the appropriate B27 Door Handle Switch - Rear.



2. With the switch in the open position, test for infinite resistance between the signal terminal 2 and the ground terminal 1.



瀚慖f not the specified value, replace the B27 Door Handle Switch - Rear.



3. With the switch in the closed position, test for less than 5 ohm between the signal terminal 2 and the ground terminal 1



瀚慖f greater than the specified range, replace the B27 Door Handle Switch - Rear.

4. If all circuits test normal, test or replace the A23D door latch assembly - driver



Passenger Door Ajar Switch Malfunction



1. Ignition OFF, disconnect the harness connector at the A23P door latch assembly - passenger.



2. Test for less than 10 ohm between the ground circuit terminal 3 and ground.



瀚慖f greater than the specified range, test the ground circuit for an open/high resistance.



3. Ignition ON, verify the scan tool BCM Passenger Door Ajar Switch parameter is Inactive.



瀚慖f not the specified value, test the signal circuit terminal 1 for a short to ground. If the circuit tests normal, replace the M74P window



motor - passenger.



4. Install a 3 A fused jumper wire between the signal circuit terminal 1 and ground. Verify the scan tool BCM Passenger Door Ajar Switch



parameter is Active.



瀚慖f not the specified value, test the signal circuit for a short to voltage or an open/high resistance. If the circuit tests normal, replace the



M74P window motor - passenger.



5. If all circuits test normal, test or replace the A23P door latch assembly - passenger.



Passenger Door Open Switch Malfunction



1. Ignition OFF, disconnect the harness connector at the A23P door latch assembly - passenger.



2. Ignition ON, verify the scan tool keyless entry control module Passenger Door Open Switch parameter is Inactive.



瀚慖f not the specified value, test the signal circuit terminal 2 for a short to ground. If the circuit tests normal, replace the K84 keyless entry



control module.



3. Install a 3 A fused jumper wire between the signal circuit terminal 2 and ground. Verify the scan tool keyless entry control module Passenger



Door Open Switch parameter is Active.



瀚慖f not the specified value, test the signal circuit for a short to voltage or an open/high resistance. If the circuit tests normal, replace the



K84 keyless entry control module.



4. If all circuits test normal, test or replace the A23P door latch assembly - passenger



Component Testing



1. Ignition OFF, disconnect the harness connector at the appropriate A23 door latch assembly.



2. With the switch in the open position, test for infinite resistance between the signal terminal and ground terminal listed below:



* A23D door latch assembly - driver signal terminal 6 and ground terminal 8



* A23D door latch assembly - driver signal terminal 7 and ground terminal 8



* A23P door latch assembly - passenger signal terminal 1 and ground terminal 3



* A23P door latch assembly - passenger signal terminal 2 and ground terminal 3

3. With the switch in the closed position, test for less than 5 ohm between the signal terminal and ground terminal listed below:



* A23D door latch assembly - driver signal terminal 6 and ground terminal 8



* A23D door latch assembly - driver signal terminal 7 and ground terminal 8



* A23P door latch assembly - passenger signal terminal 1 and ground terminal 3
